Go forth and fill your libraries with media.
Seriously, thanks to everyone for being so amazing and patient. You are the reason I love Vox.
I was just told that the Amazon Conduit will be fixed by tomorrow. I will post here as soon as I get word that it's back up and running.
I know this has been frustrating and I am sorry there wasn't more I could do to make it less so. I really appreciate your patience though.
Cheers,
Bad news. As many of you have probably noticed, the Amazon Conduit was not fixed in the last week's release. Unfortunately, there was an undetected bug that is preventing the conduit from working.
We are working on this bug fix and hope to have the Conduit back up and running this week.
I will keep you posted.
Thank you for being so patient.

In my last Team Vox post, I let you know that we're aware that the Amazon conduit is broken and that we're working to fix it. Many of you want to know when it's going to be fixed and I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you about that sooner.
Unfortunately, I don't have an exact date to give you, but rest assured, the Amazon conduit will be fixed in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I'm about to finish my latest book and I could use a few suggestions as to what to read next, so... if you don't mind, let me know in the comments what's on your nightstand and/or what book you think I absolutely must read next.
Thanks! :)
Some of you may have noticed that right now you cannot add books from Amazon to your Vox library. Giving people a glimpse into what's on your night stand is important to many of you, so I just wanted to reassure you that we are doing our best to get this bug fixed. I'll keep you posted.
So sorry for the inconvenience.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Well here in nowhere Kentucky a kid high on drugs thinking he was locked out of his own house kicked the door in screaming "hey dad it's me" and the home owner shot him dead. Or so the story goes well which is this a cry for gun controll or the war on drugs? As always I have done zero research so I am going by the rumor mill again. But this hits a little closer to home or at least to my kid who knew the dead kid or knew of him blah blah. As stated I live in Kentucky the "city" is 40-50k people and then there are the surrounding rural areas and this happened in a semi rural area not a lone farm house but a small community. Where we are located I would have to say the guns per capita is probably higher than the worst part of New York(oh and by the way my blind and I mean blind boss has a concealed carry permit for a hand gun :D ). Personally I don't own a gun I do have aluminium bats placed around the house, which of course are no good in a gun fight, but if someone is gonna shoot me dead for my meager possesions so be it.
Now this incident happened at around 2am on a Wed. night so one would assume that the home owner was awaken from a dead sleep and may or may not even have a son, but does have a gun. So the front door loudly flies open and some wasted kid is standing there sceaming hey dad it's me what to do? I have been this high/drunk before but never managed to kick in somebody's door, I tend to believe I would have pounded wildly on it but kick it in no. Since I have done no research and don't watch the news I don't even know the age of the home owner could have been a 60 year old woman or a 25 year old man not sure but does it matter? Would you say the fear factor is high enough to fire your gun, was a warning shouted, a light turned on, or was it a knee jerk reaction of someone violently awoken from sleep?
Don't get me wrong this is tragic a young life snuffed out over something so stupid, or so it seems according to the rumor mill. I personally hate violence in 20 years of being drunk 2 fist fights worst ending in a broken nose, and the whole United States world police thing kills me too. I am a peace loving tree hugging hippie who believes violence solves nothing but if seriously threatened I think you should act. And believe it or not even after having been oh so high and drunk I gotta side with the home owner on this one. Had the kid just been pounding on the door it would be one thing but actually kicking it in the home owner would have to be thinking how dangerous is this guy?
Oh and according to the rumor mill the fact that he was screaming "hey dad it's me" came from others who were supposedly there, was it the famous hey watch this while his friends laughed? Maybe I am wrong about the others being there one disadantage to no reasearch but someone claims that's what happen and I doubt it was the shooter who said it. My heart goes out to all involved it seems that a tragic incident evolved from something so so stupid. The home owner has to live out their days having ended a young life, the family of the boy who was shot no longer has him around, and I am guessing the entire community in which they lived is in total disbelief. Is there a moral to this story? Nope not from me, to me it just comes down to the question drug problem or gun problem?
